MISS JULIE
Jazz/Lyrical/Hip Hop/
Musical Theatre
Julie is the owner of Mainstream and started her dance training at the age of 4. She attended Mason Gross School of Arts at Rutgers University where she was also a member of the D1A Nationally ranked Rutgers University Dance Team.
Julie danced professionally with the NBA as a Nets Dancer and was also represented by Clear Talent Group of NYC where she booked various performances. Some noted performances include a music video with Timbaland and Chris Cornell, a back-up dancer to Veronika Kole and a featured dancer in the Celebrity Fashion Show 'Fashion Gives Back'. As a competitive dance instructor, Julie has won 14 Choreography Awards. Her enthusiasm, expertise in coaching and cleaning dances, and love for her students are just some of the reasons students love learning from her.
MISS TEAGAN
Tap/Ballet
Teagan started dancing at the age of 3 at Barton and Williams School of Dance in Stafford, VA. During her 15 years at the studio, she trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop and pointe, but tap was always her favorite. She was part of their competition team
for ten years.
Teagan is a graduate of The College of New Jersey where she was a part of the Synergy Dance Company. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate career, she choreographed their tap performances. Teagan is also featured tap teacher for adults at Powerhouse Dance. When she is not dancing, Teagan teaches high school mathematics. Teagan's tap skills are unparalleled and our students have grown vastly in their ability in tap because of her expertise.
MISS ANGELICA
Contemporary/Hip Hop/Jazz
Angelica is a graduate of West Chester University where she was the captain of the nationally ranked West Chester University Dance Team. She has been dancing for 24 years and is trained in all forms of dance, but especially loves hip hop and contemporary. Angelica began her training at 4, by 6 she was competing in numerous dance competitions, and by her senior year had received many top scores and judges awards. Currently, Ang is an NBA dancer with the Sixers and a co-owner of Flair Dance Festival. She is also a featured teacher at Powerhouse Dance specializing in contemporary and hip hop classes for adults. She most recently choreographed a National Winning Hip-Hop routine in for the MDA Competition Team in the 13 and Over Age Division. Her experience, drive, and love for teaching are just some of the many reasons our students love her.
MISS LAUREN
Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop
Lauren has been dancing since age four and has always had a love for dance. While growing up she found a passion for hip hop, lyrical and jazz. She competed for seven years and is a former member of the MDA Competition Team. For the past four years, she has enjoyed teaching the younger students in her spare time at the studio. While competing, she served as a role model for the younger team members. While Lauren was on the MDA Elite team, she won numerous top scores and special judges awards. Lauren is currently attending college for Radiology and will be specializing in Ultra Sound. We are so happy to have Lauren back with us at Mainstream, but this time on staff helping build and shape our students into beautiful dancers.
MISS BRITTANY
Ballet/Acro/Lyrical
MISS KIERRA
Hip Hop/Jazz/Lyrical
Kierra is from South Jersey where she has been dancing since the age of two. Her passion for dance drove her to train in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and Acro. Kierra has been featured in Matt Steffania's YouTube series Dance Con, ep.4. She started All-Star Dance after high school and placed 1st in the U.S. and 2nd Internationally with her team. She is a dancer with Adrenaline Family as an athlete in Open Co-ed and Open-All Girl. She has choreographed for multiple competition teams along the east coast and has taught an All-Star dance intensive in VA. Kierra also works as a Fitness Professional for kids at Edge Fitness Club in Cherry Hill. She believes dance helped her confidence and discipline and is excited to give the same to her students.
Brittany is a Philadelphia based performer, choreographer and educator with a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts. Since starting dance at the age of 3, Brittany has developed a strong and diverse technical background in ballet, modern, and jazz. She has performed numerous works at The Merriam Theatre including most notable "Polka in the Spring" choreographed by Mark Morris, as well as many works performed in the Philly Fringe Festival. Brittany currently dances with Klassic Contemporary Ballet Company. As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, when outside the studio, Brittany works with dancers to create a strong foundation that will enhance their performance capabilities while avoiding injury. Brittany has been teaching locally for 8 years and now is committed to sharing her passion with students as a dance educator.
MR KENDALL
Hip-Hop
Kendall is a professional dancer based out of Philadelphia by way of Somerset, New Jerse. He has been dancing since the age of 13 under the tutelage of Irazema Rivera. Kendall has been trained by the likes of Diana Matos, Ysabelle Capitule, Kenny Clutch, Akia Deyvon, Smart Mark, Nat Bat, Rosario, JaQuel Knight and many more. Kendall has been blessed to dance on stage along noted artists such as Pharrell, Travis Scott, Yaya and Philadelphia's own GoodGirl. Kendall currently is the first male dancer to be a part of the NBA 76ers dance team, Squad 76.
He is a member of MOTUS Dance Company as well as Creative Reaction Company. He is a great role model for our male hip hop dancers and brings fun and creative choreography to every class.

MISS JANICE
Office Coordinator
Janice is thrilled to join the MDA family as the Office Coordinator. She recently retired from a 30-year teaching career where she taught middle school Language Arts and was a former Cheerleading Coach. Janice is excited to revisit her love of dance as she spent her earlier years studying dance and choreography. She is also the proud mom of two sons and a rescue puppy. We are so excited to have Miss Janice join our staff. Make sure to say 'Hello' to Miss Janice and give her a warm welcome.
MISS HALEY
Office Assistant/ Teacher in Training
Haley will be joining our staff this year and acting as the new Office Assistant. She also will be training in our Teacher Program.
Haley is a former MDA Competition dancer and has completed thirteen years of dance training. She has also competed at numerous Regional and National competitions for the pats 5 years. In 2022 she won the National Championship Title along with her MDA teammates for their Competition Routine 'Street Werk' in the 13 and Over Age Division. Haley has also performed in the Nutcracker and was a dancer in a featured routine at the Flair Dance festival. She has also studied Ballet under the accomplished ballerina Julie Caprio. Currently Haley is practicing Aerial Silks and Lyra and is planning to major in Dance in college. She is excited to join the front desk staff at MDA and can't wait to share her passion for dance with others.
